Eni, Rosneft strengthen trading-logistics pact

Eni SPA and Rosneft have signed agreements to further strengthen their partnership to develop opportunities in trading and logistics.

On Nov. 26, the two companies signed agreements to provide mutual crude oil supplies and to jointly participate and invest in logistic and commercial activities within the hydrocarbons sector, Eni and Rosneft said in a joint release.

As part of the agreements, Rosneft will supply crude oil to the PCK Schwedt refinery in eastern Germany and the Ceska Rafinerska refinery in the Czech Republic, while Eni will provide seaborne crude oil supplies to the Ruhr Oel GMBH refineries in Germany.

The companies also have agreed to principal terms for joint investments in the development of a logistics hub to be located near Venice, Italy, according to the release.

These latest agreements follow a previous agreement signed in February by Eni and Rosneft that is aimed to develop synergies between the companies’ respective logistic infrastructure networks (OGJ Online, Feb. 25, 2013).
