Candax Energy Inc., Toronto developer of mature oil fields in Tunisia, said that Pascal Mirville will cease to hold the titles of chief operating officer of Candax and general manager of Candax’s 100% owned Tunisian subsidiary Ecumed as of Oct. 31.

The company anticipates that Mirville will continue to assist the Candax management team during a transition period that extends beyond Oct. 31.

Benoit Debray, Candax chairman and chief executive officer, will assume Mirville’s responsibilities until a suitable replacement has been found.

Candax also has promoted Jamil Hamza to the position of deputy general manager of Ecumed. Hamza was previously Ecumed’s operations manager.

Debray noted that Candax has “progressed through a complex period of transition” during which Mirville’s input proved instrumental.
