Avalon Oil & Gas Inc., Minneapolis, said it reworked and returned to production two oil wells in Kiblah field in Miller County, South Arkansas, and will commence workover of the Gunn-1 well within 30 days.

Workovers of the Dixon-1 and Deltic Farms-1 wells consisted of pulling rods and tubing and steam cleaning to remove paraffin, then sand-bailing debris from the bottom of the wellbores. The wells were drilled and completed in 1989.

Dixon is making 10 b/d of oil and Deltic 4 b/d from the Cretaceous Tokio zone at 3,000 ft, and removal of the wax buildup “should permit us to recover 15,900 bbl of oil of proved reserves,” said Avalon, which owns a 50% working interest in the two wells.
