Union Fenosa Gas Exploracion y Produccion SAU, Soc. de Hidrocarburos de Euskadi SA, and Oil & Gas Skills SA have completed a 232 sq km 3D seismic survey in the Rioja area of northern Spain.
Contractor DMT GMBH & Co. KG, Essen, Germany, carried out the survey in challenging topography after obtaining authorization to shoot on 60,000 plots of land, 90% of them privately owned. Seismic soundings were generated at nearly 10,000 locations between January and March 2013 during one of the wettest and snowiest winters of the past decade, DMT said.
