Marathon Oil Corp. has appointed Lance W. Robertson as vice-president, Eagle Ford production operations.
Previously Robertson was regional vice-president of the South Texas-Eagle Ford region. He will continue working out of Marathon’s Houston office.
Since joining Marathon Oil in October 2011, Robertson has overseen the company's operations in the Eagle Ford shale. He works in collaboration with Marathon Oil's exploration, engineering, land, and operations teams.
Robertson previously worked for Pioneer Natural Resources as vice-president of operations, Eagle Ford assets. During 2004-11, he held numerous senior engineering and operations management roles with Pioneer in the US and Canada.
He began his career with ExxonMobil Corp. as a drilling engineer in Angola and Equatorial Guinea.
