Fire kills worker at Russian refinery

A fire at TNK-BP’s 130,000-b/d Saratov refinery in southwestern Russia burned four workers on Oct. 4, killing one. Injuries to the other three were not considered life-threatening.

A fire at TNK-BP’s 130,000-b/d Saratov refinery in southwestern Russia burned four workers on Oct. 4, killing one. Injuries to the other three were not considered life-threatening.

TNK-BP didn’t say what part of the refinery was affected. The fire was extinguished quickly. Operations ceased but were being restarted Oct. 5.
