CNOOC starts up two Beibu Gulf oil fields

CNOOC Ltd. has started production of crude oil from two fields in the Weizhou area of the Beibu Gulf of the South China Sea offshore China (OGJ Online, Jan. 31, 2011).  

CNOOC Ltd. has started production of crude oil from two fields in the Weizhou area of the Beibu Gulf of the South China Sea offshore China (OGJ Online, Jan. 31, 2011).

Weizhou 11-2 oil field is producing from four wells in an average of 35.4 m of water through existing facilities nearby. Production is expected to peak at 3,960 b/d this year.

Weizhou 6-9/610 oil field, also relying on existing facilities in the area, is producing through nine wells in an average of 32.5 m of water. Peak production is expected next year at 5,870 b/d.

CNOOC holds 100% interests in the fields and is operator.
