Steve Cosse has been named president and chief executive officer of Murphy Oil Corp., replacing David Wood, who is retiring from those positions after 17 years with the company and from the board of directors. Cosse, a director, previously was executive vice-president and general counsel of Murphy and earlier held the positions of senior vice-president, vice-president, and principal financial officer. Roger Jenkins, executive vice-president of exploration and production, was appointed to the new position of chief operating officer.
