Wholly owned Lukoil subsidiary OOO Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft let a contract to Saipem SPA for the construction of subsea pipelines to transport oil and gas from northern Caspian fields. Saipem will lay two 114-km pipelines on the seabed connecting the riser block at Vladimir Filanovsky field to landfall. The oil pipeline will use 22-in. OD pipe and the gas pipeline, 28-in. OD pipe.
The contract sets second-half 2015 for completion of Saipem’s work.
Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft and Malaysian company Bumi Armada Caspian signed a contract at the beginning of April to construct subsea pipelines connecting the Vladimir Filanovsky field with the Yuri Korchagin field. Overall infrastructure development for Vladimir Filanovsky field includes more than 330 km of subsea pipeline and 350 km of onshore pipeline, said Lukoil.
Lukoil places Vladimir Filanovsky’s combined confirmed and estimated recoverable crude reserves at 153.1 million tons and gas reserves at 32.2 billion cu m. It plans to commission the field yearend-2015.
Lukoil is also a 10% partner in the Southern Caspian’s Shah Deniz II development consortium, which approved front-end engineering and design for the project last month (OGJ Online, Apr. 18, 2012).
