Feb. 28, 2012
Enterprise Products Partners LP (EPP) and Enbridge Inc. will hold a supplemental binding open season for incremental volumes on the 85-mile crude oil pipeline to be built from the Enterprise Crude Houston (Echo) terminal to Port Arthur, Tex., delivering crude to the Beaumont-Port Arthur refining complex (OGJ Online, Jan. 5, 2012).

EPP and Enbridge will offer interested shippers incremental capacity of roughly 200,000 b/d above the capacity already subscribed to as part of the Seaway Pipeline reversal project. The reversal of Seaway and initial 150,000 b/d of southbound crude oil capacity on the system remain on schedule for completion in the second quarter.

The companies expect the lateral to enter service early 2014. The binding open commitment period will begin Feb. 29 and end Apr. 13.

EPP purchased 37 acres of land adjacent to Echo earlier this month to allow expansion of the facility to 6 million bbl (OGJ Online, Feb. 14, 2012).
