C&C Energia Ltd., Calgary, plans to run 7-in. production casing to total depth to test the Neme formation in the Cachalote-1ST well on the 114,875-acre Andaquies exploration and production contract in the northern Putumayo basin in Colombia.

Cachalote, the first exploratory well on the block, went to a total depth of 6,133 measured depth, 5,970 ft true vertical depth, and the test interval is at 5,640-766 ft (OGJ Online, Nov. 21, 2011). C&C Energia is operator with 64% working interest, and Canacol Energy Ltd., Calgary, has 36%.
