Aussie floating LNG project awards pre-feed

GDF Suez Bonaparte Pty. Ltd., operator for the planned floating liquefaction project Bonaparte LNG project off Australia, has selected KBR consulting unit Granherne, Paris, to execute the project’s upstream pre-front end engineering and design.

-- GDF Suez Bonaparte Pty. Ltd., operator for the planned floating liquefaction project Bonaparte LNG project off Australia, has selected KBR consulting unit Granherne, Paris, to execute the project’s upstream pre-front end engineering and design.

GDF Suez Bonaparte is a joint venture of GDF Suez and Santos Ltd.

The planned 2 million tonne/year unit would be installed in the Bonaparte basin, Northern Territory. Granherne will provide a single integrated service, consisting of such disciplines as subsea engineering, field development planning, process, safety engineering, and flow assurance. The project will be managed by Granherne's Asia-Pacific regional office in Perth.
