HOUSTON, Nov. 15 – Maurel & Prom, Paris, gauged a flow of 1,600 b/d of oil equivalent on a 32/64-in. choke at the OMOC-N-302 delineation well on the Onal block in Gabon 130 miles east of Port Gentil.
The well, which proves the southeast field extension opened by the N-301 well in a new compartment, went to a total depth of 1,060 m and has 39 m of perforations in the Gres de base formation.
Both wells could be connected to Onal facilities by the end of 2010, adding a combined 2,500 boe/d to production.
The already drilled N-101 and N-201 wells, the N-103 well now drilling, and the N-502 and N-401 wells to be drilled by the end of February 2011, are to be connected by a separate pipeline.
The N-601 exploratory well to be drilled in early 2011 at OMOC-N field outside the Onal block, targets the Gres du Kissenda formation.
