Total to farm out Bolivian stakes to Gazprom

Total SA has agreed to farm out 20% interests in its Ipati and Aquio licenses in Bolivia to OAO Gazprom.

HOUSTON, Oct. 12
-- Total SA has agreed to farm out 20% interests in its Ipati and Aquio licenses in Bolivia to OAO Gazprom.

Total discovered Incahuasi gas field on the Ipati block in 2004 and is drilling an appraisal well, X-1001, on the adjacent Aquio license (OGJ, Aug. 10, 2009, Newsletter).

The blocks are 200 km south of Santa Cruz in the Andean Cordilleras foothills.

Subject to governmental approval, interests after the farmout will be Total, operator, 60%, and Tecpetrol and Gazprom, 20% each.
