HOUSTON, Oct. 6 -- ConocoPhillips reported several executive management changes, effective immediately.
Alan J. Hirshberg, formerly vice-president, worldwide deepwater and Africa projects, ExxonMobil Corp., will join the company as senior vice-president, planning and strategy.
Greg C. Garland, formerly president and chief executive officer of Chevron Phillips Chemical Co., will join the company as senior vice-president, exploration and production-Americas.
Willie C.W. Chiang, senior vice-president, refining, marketing, and transportation, was also given responsibility for the company’s commercial business activities.
John A. Carrig, the company’s president and chief operating officer, announced his intention to retire at the end of February 2011. Also, Kevin O. Meyers, senior vice-president, E&P-Americas, announced he will retire from the company at yearend.
