HOUSTON, Sept. 30 -- Valero Energy Corp. is adding hydrogen plants at its 195,000-b/d refinery in Memphis, Tenn., and its 170,000-b/d McKee refinery in Sunray, Tex.
The 30-MMscfd units will use steam methane reforming with nitrogen oxide-reduction technology supplied by Technip under lump-sum contracts covering basic engineering, project management, detailed engineering, fabrication, supply and installation, precommissioning, and start-up assistance.
