HOUSTON, Aug. 24 -- Occidental Petroleum Corp. elected Stephen I. Chazen as president and chief operating officer and James M. Lienert as executive vice-president and chief financial officer.
Chazen has 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He joined Oxy in 1994 as executive vice-president, corporate development. He was named chief financial officer in 1999 and elected president and chief financial officer in 2007.
Lienert joined Occidental Chemical Corp. in 1974 and held a series of senior positions. He was appointed as president of OxyChem in February 2004. Lienert has served as Oxy’s executive vice-president, finance and planning, since 2006.
