Cairn Energy's Mangala project progresses

-- Processing Trains 1 and 2 are operating at Cairn Energy PLC’s Mangala processing terminal in Rajasthan, India, said the company in a recent summary of its 2010 operations. Train 3 will be completed by the end of this quarter.

A 366-mile, 32-in. insulated pipeline from the processing terminal to Salaya in Gujarat has also been completed and flowed in the ramp up toward production of 125,000 b/d in the second half (OGJ Online, Jan. 28, 2010).

In the first quarter, Cairn reported average gross production of 17,532 b/d and production in this quarter of about 60,000 b/d. Oil sales arrangements in place with four buyers are for 143,000 b/d, said the company.
