HOUSTON, Apr. 8 -- Nexen Inc. has appointed Matt Fox as executive vice-president, international oil and gas. Fox succeeds Laurence Murphy, who retired in late 2009.
Prior to joining Nexen, Fox was president and chief executive officer of ConocoPhillips Canada. He had previously held senior positions in other ConocoPhillips divisions including Canadian oil sands, UK, US, and Middle East. He also served as chief reservoir engineer, Conoco upstream technology.
