Abraxas Petroleum Corp., San Antonio, has completed a well in Converse County, Wyo., with a 3,300-ft lateral in the Upper Cretaceous Turner sandstone.

HOUSTON, Dec. 8
– Abraxas Petroleum Corp., San Antonio, has completed a well in Brooks Draw field, Converse County, Wyo., with a 3,300-ft lateral in the Upper Cretaceous Turner sandstone.

The Peregrine-5H, measured total depth 11,500 ft including the lateral, averaged 115 b/d of oil plus associated gas in its first 30 days on pump after a 10-stage frac.

Abraxas is installing a processing plant to handle gas from the Peregrine-5H reentry and the Lakeside-1H well. Abraxas owns 100% working interest in Peregrine-5H.
