HOUSTON, Dec. 9 – S&W Oil & Gas LLC, Wichita, drillstem tested 44° gravity oil from a 12-ft pay zone at 5,400 ft at the 24-1 Double H well in Ford County, Kan., 20 miles south of Dodge City.
The well should be on production by Jan. 1, 2010, said participant American Petro-Hunter Inc., Scottsdale, Ariz.
Engineers will propose a development plan for the 5,120-acre Rooney lease, off the north edge of existing Pennsylvanian Morrow sand production. At least five target locations appear viable based on 3D seismic data, American Petro-Hunter said.
