Chesapeake Midstream names chief operating officer

Chesapeake Midstream Partners LLC (CMP), the recently formed 50-50 partnership of Global Infrastructure Partners LP and Chesapeake Energy Corp., named Robert Purgason as chief operating officer.

-- Chesapeake Midstream Partners LLC (CMP), the recently formed 50-50 partnership of Global Infrastructure Partners LP and Chesapeake Energy Corp., named Robert Purgason as chief operating officer.

Purgason joins CMP after 30 years of diversified experience in the natural gas, electric power generation, and midstream industries. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer and executive vice-president at Crosstex Energy Services LP.

Purgason will assume responsibility for all asset operations and commercial activities within CMP, including primary oversight and coordination with Chesapeake Energy for CMP’s operations.
