HOUSTON, Oct. 13 – Newfield Exploration Co., Houston, plans to start production in early November from the Fastball discovery in Viosca Knoll Block 1003 in the Gulf of Mexico.

Energy XXI (Bermuda) Ltd., which has a 16.7% net revenue interest in the field, said the gas-condensate field is expected to be placed on line at 1,300-1,600 boe/d net to Energy XXI.
