LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9 -- Petrohawk Energy Corp. has named Dick Stoneburner as president and chief operating officer of the firm.
Before joining Petrohawk, Stoneburner served as vice-president, exploration, of 3TEC Energy Corp. from December 1999 until its June 2003 merger with Plains Exploration & Production Co.
Before joining 3TEC, Stoneburner worked as a geologist through several private ventures, including Texas Oil & Gas and Hugoton Energy, and independently through his own company, Stoneburner Exploration Inc.
Stoneburner has more than 30 years of experience in the energy business and is a founder of Petrohawk Energy.
