HOUSTON, Sept. 23 – New Horizon Energy Inc. has spud Noelia-1, first of two 2009 exploration wells on the La Maye block in Colombia’s Lower Magdalena basin.
Noelia-1, projected to 5,000 ft in Tertiary Cienaga de Oro just above basement, is part of a funded four-well turnkey exploration program.
New Horizon Energy is block operator, and Petro Vista Energy Corp., San Clemente, Calif., owns 25% working interest.
