OGX Petroleo e Gas Participacoes SA, Rio de Janeiro, has spud the 1-OGX-1-RJS exploratory well on the Vesuvio prospect the BM-C-43 block in the Campos Basin off Brazil.

– OGX Petroleo e Gas Participacoes SA, Rio de Janeiro, has spud the 1-OGX-1-RJS exploratory well on the Vesuvio prospect the BM-C-43 block in the Campos Basin off Brazil.

The well, with five mapped geological objectives, is in 140 m of water 85 km off Rio de Janeiro state on the block, held 100% by OGX.

OGX participates in 22 exploratory blocks covering 7,000 sq km in the Campos, Santos, Espirito Santo, and Para-Maranhao basins.
