HOUSTON, Aug. 24
-- StatoilHydro has awarded two contracts to a subsidiary of KBR for gas plant work at its Karsto plant near Stavanger.

London-based M.W. Kellogg Ltd. will provide engineering, procurement, and construction assistance for the double inlet crossover project and NGL metering project.

The first part of the job will add two crossover lines to provide “increased regularity and blending possibilities” for incoming gas to the plant.

The NGL metering upgrade project is to take place in parallel to another project already being undertaken by M.W. Kellogg and targeting completion for 2010. The “effective interface co-ordination and planning for all phases of the project” said the announcement, is critical to its success.
