Maersk Oil lets contract for Gryphon South, Tullich fields

LONDON, Aug. 31 -- Maersk Oil North Sea UK Ltd. let a contract to Subsea 7 Inc. to install flexibles and umbilical jumpers and tie-in and testing work for its Gryphon South and Tullich fields in the UK North Sea. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Subsea 7 will test two wells on the Gryphon and Tullich development.

Offshore work will commence in the fourth quarter using Subsea 7’s dive support vessel, the Seven Pelican.

The Gryphon and Tullich fields are tied back and produce through the Maersk Oil Gryphon floating, production, storage, and offloading vessel. Gryphon lies on Block 9/18b and Tullich is on Block 9/23a, 320 km northeast of Aberdeen.
