HOUSTON, Aug. 13 – Conquest Petroleum Inc., The Woodlands, Tex., is seeking financing to proceed with a Devonian New Albany shale drilling program in southwestern Kentucky.
The company holds 9,000 acres in the southern Illinois basin where it drilled but didn’t complete three wells through the New Albany in 2007.
After completing those wells, the company proposes to drill 72 development wells on 3,000 acres it owns in fee.
