LONDON, Aug. 3 -- Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Ltd. has let a lump-sum turnkey contract to Saipem SPA for tieback work in 2011 on the Kizomba satellites program on Block 15 off Angola.

The ExxonMobil subsidiary expects production from the satellites to peak in 2010-12 at 125,000 b/d.

Saipem will carry out engineering, construction, transport, and installation of pipelines, umbilicals, risers, and subsea systems connecting Mavacola and Clochas fields to the existing floating, production, storage, and offloading units at Kizomba A and B.

It will use its FDS and Saipem 3000 vessels to do the offshore operations.

Block 15 is 145 km west of Soyo and lies in 1,000-1,200 m of water.

Kizomba A started production in 2004 from the Hungo and Chocalho discoveries. Kizomba B holds the Kissanje and Dikanza discoveries.

Kizomba C began production early in 2008 and achieved production of 100,000 b/d from Mondo field and another 100,000 b/d from Saxi and Batuque fields last year.
