Approach Resources appoints vice-president

HOUSTON, July 30 -- Approach Resources Inc. appointed Qingming Yang as vice-president, exploration.

Yang has more than 24 years of domestic and international exploration, technical, and operating experience in the oil and gas industry.

Prior to joining Approach, Yang worked for Pioneer Natural Resources Co. for 12 years in a variety of positions. Most recently, Yang served as geosciences advisor-technical lead for PNR’s Eagle Ford shale team.

Yang will lead the company's exploration, geological, and geophysical team.
