LOS ANGELES, June 3 -- Mansfield Oil Co. has appointed Bob Gray as director of biofuels and business development to support what the firm calls "the growing commercial and government demand" for alternative fuels.

Gray, who previously served as vice-president, business development, with World Energy Alternatives, will oversee expansion of Mansfield Oil's alternative fuel programs.

He will be responsible for finalizing BQ9000 certification and expanding Mansfield's biofuel business, which supplies biodiesel products in 32 states.

"Mansfield has seen a 446% growth in 2008 in its biofuel sales and is up 64% so far in 2009," said Gray. "There is no reason why it cannot continue this growth to become the clear market leader."
