GMX Resources names Rohleder president

GMX Resources Inc., Oklahoma City, named Michael J. Rohleder as president.

HOUSTON, June 4 -- GMX Resources Inc., Oklahoma City, named Michael J. Rohleder as president.

The company also named Timothy L. Benton as vice-president, geosciences, and Harry C. Stahel Jr. as vice-president, finance.

Rohleder has been executive vice-president for 15 months focused on corporate development, investor relations, and strategic growth and planning and has more than 20 years of executive management experience.

Benton has been responsible for engineering and geological characterization work of the company's assets since 2005. Earlier he was with Gulf Oil Corp., Texas Pacific Oil Co., Long, Atteberry & Associates, and was independent consultant.

Stahel joins GMX after more than 18 years in the energy industry including finance and treasury roles at Aquila Inc. that were primarily centered on finance, acquisitions, and the creation of joint ventures. He spent the last 5 years at OG&E/Enogex.
