RWE Dea acquires three UK North Sea blocks

RWE Dea AG has secured interests in three partial blocks, including operatorship, under the UK's 25th licensing round in the North Sea.

LONDON, Dec. 2 -- RWE Dea AG has secured interests in three partial blocks, including operatorship, under the UK's 25th licensing round in the North Sea.

It will operate Block 48/10c with a 40% stake and will explore on Block 44/29c, again with a 40% interest. Both are adjacent to existing fields in RWE Dea's core area of the gas prone southern North Sea. Part Block 30/1f, in which RWE Dea has a 25% interest, is in the Central North Sea.
