Flint Hills promotes key operations staff

Flint Hills Resources has made several appointments at the company's Corpus Christi, Tex., refinery.

HOUSTON, Dec. 3-- Flint Hills Resources LP, Wichita, Kan., has named Jeff Wilkes executive vice-president, operations; Stephen Pocsik vice-president, chemical operations; Phil Gaarder vice-president, global operations integration; and Richard Harris vice-president and manufacturing manager at the company's Corpus Christi, Tex., refinery.

Wilkes was previously vice-president, refining operations, overseeing the company's refineries in Alaska, Minnesota, and Texas. He will be based in Wichita.

Pocsik joined Flint Hills Nov. 17 from Total Petrochemicals, where he was vice-president, research and development. He has more than 20 years of experience in the petrochemical industry.

Gaarder most recently served as vice-president and manufacturing manager at the company's Corpus Christi refinery. He has spent his 27-year career with Flint Hills and its predecessor companies.

Harris most recently served as chemical production manager at the Corpus Christi refinery. He has been with the company for 20 years and will oversee the two plant complex.
