HOUSTON, Dec. 11 -- Canadian Superior Energy Inc. has appointed Mike Coolen chief executive officer. Coolen joined Canadian Superior in 2001 and has served as president and chief operating officer since April 2006. Coolen also is a director of the company.
Since July 2001 Coolen has been responsible for Canadian Superior's operations offshore Trinidad and Tobago, in North Africa, off Nova Scotia, and a variety of corporate management responsibilities associated with several senior management positions.
Coolen has more than 35 years of experience in the oil and gas business, including 20 years with Mobil Oil Canada. He has been involved in numerous oil and gas projects and natural gas processing and gas gathering projects, both onshore and offshore.
