Marseille Port Authority to reduce Lavera VOCs

The Marseille Port Authority board has voted to invest €9 million to capture 80% of the volatile organic components on the Lavera oil terminal. It will install equipment to capture emissions produced when discharging tankers.

PARIS, Sept. 29 -- The Marseille Port Authority board has voted to invest €9 million to capture 80% of the volatile organic components on the Lavera oil terminal. It will install equipment to capture emissions produced when discharging tankers.

Work should begin in 2009, with the first stage completing by 2012 and Stage 2 by 2014.
