PARIS, Sept. 29 -- France's GRTgaz and Belgium's Fluxys on Dec. 12 will conclude its open season conducted to assess the need for additional long-term transmission capacity from Zeebrugge, Belgium, to GRTgaz' North Zone in France and from Eastern Belgium (Dutch-Belgian border and German-Belgian border) to GRTgaz's North Zone.

Coordinated sale of the new capacity will contribute to the growth of the European natural gas market and will determine investments needed in Belgium and France.

The closing date also coincides with the conclusion of an open season conducted by GTS, the Dutch transmission system operator.
