WASHINGTON, DC, July 11 -- The US Bureau of Land Management issued an environmental impact assessment of the proposed Overland Pass natural gas liquids pipeline project for public comment on July 9.
The project would consist of 152 miles of 14-in. steel pipeline and related facilities that would originate southwest of Meeker, Colo., and terminate southeast of Wamsutter, Wyo., the US Department of the Interior agency said. Facilities would include a 2,000-ft, 6-in. lateral connection, manual shutoff valves at regular intervals, pigging facilities, and two meter stations, it said.
The proposed pipeline would transport 100,000 bbl of gas liquids daily, with 96% of its route running parallel to existing pipelines or other utility corridors, BLM indicated.
The proposed pipeline is part of a larger $535 million project that will extend from Opal, Wyo., to Conway, Kan., and eventually transport up to 150,000 b/d of gas liquids, according to its sponsor, OneOK Partners LP, a joint venture of Williams Corp. and OneOK Inc.
BLM said copies of the environmental assessment are available at its offices in Meeker and Craig, Colo., and Rawlins, Wyo. Comments will be accepted through Aug. 13.
