HOUSTON, June 20 -- Suncor Energy Inc. let a contract to Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. to provide detailed engineering, procurement, and construction for Suncor's Voyageur upgrader near Fort McMurray, Alta.
Officials did not disclose the contract value.
Jacobs will provide services for the upgrader's sulfur complex, a key component of Suncor's plans to achieve 550,000 b/d of oil production by 2012.
Voyageur will upgrade bitumen primarily from the Firebag in-situ operations (OGJ, July 9, 2007, p. 43).
