LONDON, June 26 -- StatoilHydro has restarted oil production from Oseberg South, Oseberg East, and Tune fields in the Norwegian North Sea following the closure of the Oseberg field center when a small fire occurred in the switchboard room June 15. Oseberg A platform and fields that use the processing facilities were shut down.
The company said it lost about 150,000 b/d of production. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
"The fields are expected to be back on full stream in a few days," StatoilHydro said. Production at Brage, Oseberg C, and Vesfrikk, which transport oil through the Oseberg field center, resumed June 16.
When the fire broke out, there were 311 people on board, but no one was injured.
