Three Sindh Province, Pakistan, finds reported

Three oil and gas discoveries have been reported from Sindh Province, Pakistan: Petronas Carigali (Pakistan) Ltd. made a gas-condensate discovery with its Saqib-1A well on the Mubarak Block.

KARACHI, May 23 -- Three oil and gas discoveries have been reported from Sindh Province, Pakistan:
Petronas Carigali (Pakistan) Ltd. made a gas-condensate discovery with its Saqib-1A well on the Mubarak Block. The well was spud Oct. 8, 2007, and drilled to 3,605 m. In a successful drillstem test, the well flowed 53.3 b/d of condensate and 25.15 MMcfd of gas through an 80/64-in. choke.

Meanwhile, Oil & Gas Development Co. Ltd. (OGDCL), Islamabad, made an oil discovery with its Moolan North-1 well in the Lashari development and production lease. The well was spud Jan. 24 and drilled to 2,329 m. A successful drillstem test was carried out, with oil flowing at a rate of 1,150 b/d through a 32/64-in. choke.

OGDCL also made a gas condensate discovery with its Pakhro-1 well on the Nim Block. The well was spud on Dec. 15, 2007, and drilled to 3,692 m TD. A successful drill stem test was carried out, flowing 9 b/d of condensate and 8.248 MMcfd of gas through a 32/64-in. choke.
