LONDON, Mar. 12 -- StatoilHydro chartered the Henry Goodrich semisubmersible rig to drill the Mizzen prospect off eastern Newfoundland and Labrador.

Mizzen marks StatoilHydro's first operated project in Canadian waters.

Drilling is scheduled to start on block EL 1049 in the fourth quarter. The block is in the frontier Flemish Pass Basin, and Mizzen is in 1,100 m of water.

Husky Energy holds 35% interest in Mizzen. StatoilHydro signed a rig-sharing contract with Petro-Canada and Husky, bringing the Transocean-operated rig to the east coast of Canada.
