StatoilHydro extends drilling contracts

StatoilHydro signed separate drilling contract extensions with KCA Deutag Drilling Norge, Seawell Norge, and Odfjell Drilling.

LONDON, Mar. 13 -- StatoilHydro signed separate drilling contract extensions with KCA Deutag Drilling Norge, Seawell Norge, and Odfjell Drilling.

In a 2-year extension that becomes effective July 1, KCA Deutag Drilling will work on the Brage, Njord and Oseberg platforms in the Norwegian Sea.

Seawell will work for 2 years on the Gullfaks and Statfjord platforms on the Norwegian Sea Continental Shelf. The extension starts Oct. 1.

StatoilHydro said Odfjell Drilling Management will carry out drilling services for the Heidrun, Visund and Snorre platforms. The 2-year contract extension starts Oct. 1.
