MMS names two to management positions

The US MMS has reported the appointment of two staff members to management positions in the Gulf of Mexico regional office in New Orleans.

HOUSTON, Jan. 24 -- The US Minerals Management Service has reported the appointment of two staff members to management positions in the Gulf of Mexico regional office in New Orleans.

John Rodi was appointed deputy regional director. Rodi, who has worked for MMS for 27 years in the energy policy field, started his career as a staff economist and later worked as a leasing specialist. Most recently, he served as leasing program manager.

Mike Prendergast was named chief of staff. Prendergast, who has been with MMS for 24 years, started his career as a reservoir engineer in the reserves section. He has held several positions related to energy development and resource assessment.
