LONDON, Oct. 23 -- Imperial Energy Corp. PLC has increased its aggregate oil production by 33% to more than 8,500 b/d during the last 6 weeks after completing wells in two major producing fields, Snezhnoye and Maiskoye on Block 70, in Tomsk, Western Siberia. Imperial expects production to increase further once new wells are brought on stream before yearend.
Maiskoye is estimated to hold probable reserves of 72 million bbl. Imperial developed the field with four horizontal wells, which are producing more than 6,000 b/d, and before yearend it will bring on stream five more wells, three horizontal.
Imperial is transporting Maiskoye field oil through its own 159 km pipeline into the Transneft national transport system at the Luginetskoye pumping station.
However, in November Imperial intends to start up its own tie-in facility, where the oil will be directed. "The Zavyalovo tie-in for Imperial's second pipeline from its Snezhnoye field is expected to be commissioned at the same time," Imperial said.
