OGEC Cracow to drill for oil, gas in Kazakhstan

OGEC Cracow Ltd. plans to drill two to four oil wells for Polish-Kazakh company EmbaYugNieft using drilling rig N1625, capable of drilling to 12,000 m.

HOUSTON, Aug. 22 -- OGEC Cracow Ltd. plans to drill two to four oil wells for Polish-Kazakh company EmbaYugNieft using drilling rig N1625, capable of drilling to 12,000 m.

Drilling is planned in the Atyrau region on the Zhubantam-Zhusalisay permit near Tengiz field. Wells will be drilled to 6,000 m.

OGEC Cracow signed a 1-year contract with extension options. The company has eight drilling rigs in Kazakhstan.
