HOUSTON, Aug. 6 -- Holly Corp., Dallas, reported an operational malfunction in the fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) unit at its 60,000 b/cd Navajo refinery in Artesia, NM, resulting in a reduced crude charge rate of about 30,000 b/d.

The malfunction occurred during an attempt to restart the unit after it was shut down due to an electrical ground fault during a heavy lightning and thunder storm.

Holly said repairs and commissioning are expected to take 10-14 days.
