EPL reports several executive changes

Energy Partners Ltd., New Orleans, has made several executive changes.

HOUSTON, Aug. 28 -- Energy Partners Ltd. (EPL), New Orleans, has made several executive changes.

Richard A. Bachmann, chairman and chief executive officer, will assume the operational duties of Phillip A. Gobe, who will retire, effective Sept. 30. Gobe has more than 30 years of energy industry experience and will continue to serve on the company's board. EPL will consider candidates from within its organization to fill Gobe's other duties, the company said.

EPL also named Joseph T. Leary executive vice-president and chief financial officer.

Leary has more than 24 years of energy industry experience, most recently as senior vice-president and chief financial officer of KCS Energy Inc. from 2003 until it was acquired by Petrohawk Energy Corp. Previously, Leary worked for EEX Corp. and Enserch Corp. in a variety of finance and treasury management positions.

Separately, EPL promoted Thomas D. De Brock to senior vice-president of exploration and L. Keith Vincent to senior vice-president of land and business development. Both previously held the title of vice-president of their respective areas of responsibility.

De Brock joined EPL in June 1998 as a senior geologist. Since then he has served in various positions, including exploration manager, New Orleans, in 2004 and vice-president of exploration in 2006. De Brock has more than 23 years of experience in exploration and development. He began his career with GTS Seismic Corp. and has worked with other energy companies including Odeco Oil & Gas, W&T Offshore Inc., and Louisiana Land & Exploration Co.

Vincent joined EPL as land manager in January 1999. He served as vice-president of land and business development since July 2000. Vincent has more than 28 years of energy industry experience in various positions including vice-president, land and legal, of Great River Oil & Gas Corp. and managerial positions with Davis Petroleum Corp. and Transco Exploration Co.
