WASHINGTON, DC, Aug. 24 -- US Bureau of Land Management state and field offices will host an interactive satellite broadcast on Sept. 13 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm MDT to inform producers and other interested parties about recent revisions to Onshore Oil and Gas Order No. 1.
The event, which will include an interactive question and answer session, is cosponsored by the US Forest Service. The two federal agencies administer most of the public lands on which onshore oil and gas activity occurs in the western US.
While the revisions most directly affect producers' preparation of documentation for drilling permit applications, they are open to the general public, BLM indicated.
Also to be discussed is information on new drilling permit application processing timelines, off-lease access, geospatial databases and ways in which BLM and Forest Services rights-of-way work, said the US Department of the Interior.
